As a busy working professional, Mark didn’t notice his symptoms for quite some time. Thankfully, his wife took notice of a tremor in his hand and the slowness with certain tasks that Mark was experiencing. After several visits to the doctor, Mark was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2018.
Taking to the internet like many others, Mark quickly became overwhelmed and frankly scared of the information he was discovering. Fortunately, Mark’s doctor provided him with a packet of trusted resources where he was able to find valuable information. Mark’s biggest takeaway was the idea of exercise and well-being. Finding relief in exercise and taking the best care of himself each day, Mark has made connections in his Rock Steady Boxing class that motivate him to do more and work to make the most out of each day.
Today, Mark makes spending time together as a family a priority. Whether it’s watching his daughter compete with her horse, taking a family vacation, or watching a movie together on the couch, they value their time as a family and make the most of the moments they have together.
