Parkinson’s Poetry: Wayne A. Gilbert Performs PD Refusenik

One of the best things about working at the Davis Phinney Foundation is that we get to meet some of the most inspiring and talented people out there. Wayne A. Gilbert is one of those people.

Wayne is, among other things, a retired teacher and professor of English and of Educational Psychology. He was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2005 and has been writing about his experiences living with it ever since.

In this video, Wayne performs PD Refusenik. After you watch it, be sure to leave a comment and let him know what you think. Then, we’ll be back each Saturday for the month of May and beyond to share more of his work.

This Wonder filled man is a poet whom I have been pleased to call ‘friend’ ‘brother’ for over 50 years. He is so creative and willing to risk sharing himself in amazing words.
