Announcing: Team DPF!

Happy 2019 everyone!

To start the year, we have some news we’re excited to share.

The Victory Crew, our peer-to-peer fundraising program, is now Team DPF!

Here’s a little backstory….  Over the last 10 years, the Victory Crew has accounted for about 35% of our annual budget. In 2018, Victory Crew became a one-million-dollar program, accounting for 40% of the Foundation’s annual revenue.

We make it a practice as a foundation to set big goals and then innovate and evolve to reach them. Looking at the growth goals of the Victory Crew in particular, we considered how we can engage more people and grow the visibility of our peer-to-peer fundraising program in a big way. With this goal in mind, we’ve brought the fundraising team closer in alliance to our overall brand. Plus, we feel that living well today with Parkinson’s absolutely takes a team.

Team DPF - Davis Phinney Foundation

While the name “Victory Crew” captures the energy, vibrancy and community of who our fundraisers are, it did not immediately communicate the who and what we are working so hard to support.

The answer was there all along: Team DPF.

When we hear that name, we think of our most passionate and dedicated fundraisers, and we think of new fundraisers looking to make a difference.  We think of all the pieces that make up this program, this community of people.  We’ve always embraced this shorthand name, Team DPF,  internally; however, by adopting this name publicly, we want to extend that familial feel to everyone who wants to join in and make a difference to help people living with Parkinson’s.

We’re excited about the possibilities for Team DPF and hope you’ll be as well as we all work together to help people with Parkinson’s live well today and make every victory count!

Gratefully,

Lauren and Chris
