The Victory Summit

The Victory Summit is a national series of symposia that focuses on the things people can do today to improve the quality of their lives – from the latest research and treatment to demonstrations of different exercises and other activities.

Featuring researchers, clinicians and physical therapists in the field of movement disorders, the Victory Summit provides a range of tools and options that people with Parkinson’s can use to live well today.

Pay It Forward

WHY IS THE VICTORY SUMMIT DIFFERENT?

Victory Summit attendees tell us that spending a day at this symposium is moving. Moving… because we dance, stretch, sing and walk BIG. Moving… because it’s a day spent with others who face the challenge of this disease. And moving… because every victory is a moment to be celebrated.

Topics from recent Victory Summits include:

  • Tango and the brain
  • Music therapy and square dancing
  • BIG and LOUD speech and physical therapy
  • Nutrition
  • Faith and spirituality
  • Panels of local experts and people with PD on a range of topics - experience with DBS, Young on-set, depression and sleep
  • Presentation of Local Hero Awards
  • Davis Phinney, former Olympic and professional cyclist and Parkinson’s advocate
  •

    WHAT PEOPLE HAVE TO SAY

A new day gives us more than sunlight.

    More than time

    More than money.

    Our hearts beat

    Our voices can be heard.

    Lift your head high

And reach out to the world!

We will all cross that finish line

Not all first, nor last, but

We will have done our best.

    We are all victorious

    Just for being

    Who we are!
