Music, Brain Development and Healthy Aging

Oregon Health & Science University Speaker Series in the Bing Lounge, with Larry Sherman, PhD.

Dr. Sherman shares a fascinating lecture on the relationship between music and brain activity. Listening to music and playing an instrument lights up areas in brain that control attention, memory, expectations & rules, and emotion. There is some evidence that music and rhythm help people with Parkinson’s with movement and freezing, too. Watch the video.
