Study Description: The purpose of the study is to determine whether the teaching of self-efficacy skills to patients recently diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in monthly Support Group meetings over a 12-month period will result in better physical and emotional functioning, better quality of life, and more self-efficacy after 12 months.
Seeking patients with Parkinson’s disease who are:
- Diagnosed with PD within 3 years
- Minimum age: 30
- Maximum age: 80
- Have not previously participated in a Parkinson’s support group on a regular basis
